Spherical roller bearings have a spherical outer ring raceway in the outer ring. The spherical raceways of the inner and outer rings engage with a spherical roller. Spherical roller bearings can carry combined loads and can transmit axial and radial loads either separately or simultaneously. These bearings can be designed to withstand high radial loads, high axial loads or both simultaneously. In addition, these bearings have a very high capacity for handling misalignment. The spherical roller bearings are free rolling elements with a spherical outer ring raceway in the centre of the bearing. Mechanism:
