Obsidian or black knives are the best throwing rings. Obsidian throws are slightly slower than knives but they have the same stats as magical short bows that have rune arrows. The throwing rings are more costly than knives with black. Similar statistics, but slower and more expensive? Wow! Looks like a winner!

It's not as good as the knives, but mage bows and runes arrows are pretty good. Iron knives are fine but they're more expensive than bronze knives, however they have higher stats. Yesterday I was using Black knives (p) that are less expensive than irons and buy RS gold have superior stats.
