Curb appeal is the initial impression your home gets, particularly when you're trying sell it. Make it count and woo prospective buyers to enter. I'm sure you're thinking that curb appeal is the last item on your list Blue world city map. Why should you spend time on the outside if the inside is already good enough?

Since the first impression that people form is the one they are likely to stick with. Buyers form their opinions within 8-10 seconds of seeing the home. When they drive up to the home, its curb appeal will be the first feature they will notice.

And if the outside isn't well maintained and maintained, what will make the buyer think the inside is well maintained? So here are 10 tips on how to make an excellent first impression when it comes to your curb appeal

1. Mow the lawn - The tall grass indicates that you've either moved out of there or don't bother. Either one is bad. If you needed to leave prior to selling your house, you should arrange for a lawn service to come on a regular basis to keep the grounds maintained.

2. Mulch beds- If you have flower gardens on the front of your property, rake up the mulch to make it look fresh. Make sure the mulch isn't receding until it appears to be the ground as bare. You can add more.

3. Eliminate weeds It can be a everyday chore, however it can make a huge difference if you have a beautiful garden. Weeds create clutter in the garden. Choose them to show off the plant and shrubs.

4. Power wash the house/sidings out or rent a power washer to have your sidewalks and siding cleaned. This is the simplest way to refresh the exterior without painting. Just like you scrubbed those countertops and stoves in the kitchen the siding and sidewalk need that same elbow grease.

5. Cut shrubs back away from the house - I've seen many houses where the shrubs are planted right next to the house and they appear to swallow up the home! Cut them back so that you can actually see your house. If you have trees that are tall that are in front of your house raise the canopy of the trees by cutting the lower limbs to let you see the home as well.

6. Clean up cobwebs and remove insect homes (wasp nests) • Walk around your home and clean up the cobwebs. If you've been power washing your home, you might have already gotten them. Be aware of any potential nests of wasps under the eaves. Remove them. Not only will it help clean up the house, but you don't have to worry about getting in the future stung. If you've noticed an infestation, make sure you call an expert to get them out immediately.

7. Wipe or clean the porch if you have an alcove or porch close to your front door, dust and dirt can build up in the same place. The front door should be inviting by adding a plant holder, a potted flower or a chair with a vibrant color.

8. House numbers should be clearly visible. Nothing is more frustrating than searching for house numbers. Be sure to put the numbers on the door or on the wall. Check that your mailbox is equipped with numbers, too. If there is no mailbox, and your home is hidden behind trees, you can put up a sign to the side of your driveway and screw the numbers onto the post. That way, there is no confusion regarding the address.

9. The front door stands out It is amazing how many homes have numerous doors that are located on the exterior of the house. Make sure there is an open path to the front door . Make sure nothing hides it like potted plants or bushes. The front of your house deserves a fresh coat of paint if it needs it.

10. Repair damaged items (solar lights, steps, screen) I have seen this often. Solar lights installed on the walkway, but they are missing tops they fell over or been trampled from the dogs. Fix them or remove them.
