"We considered developing an inactive RuneScape game several years ago, but it was not until RuneScape: Idle Adventures," Pfeiffer tells. "In Alpha, we stopped development and concentrated upon the core RuneScape games.

We've always believed in that RuneScape has a lot of potential in the idle space and Melvor Idle more than proves that RuneScape can create a fantastic idle game. Pfeiffer also mentions the success of Melvor Idle as proof that talent can emerge from the community of any game as Jagex has already discovered. After the success of the partnership with Games By Malcs, Pfeiffer is keen to work more with indie devs around the globe, especially if they're developing ideas that "align with the design philosophy of RuneScape and Jagex's core values" The hope is that Melvor Idle's success can inspire many indie devs to reach out to Jagex Studios.
