The ihip portal login, an online platform, was instituted by the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. IHIP stands for the country's Illness Surveillance Program, designed to identify initial indicators of various diseases.

In 2004, the ihip portal Health Ministry inaugurated the Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (ISDP) within the IHIP Portal. Its purpose was to oversee and trace the rapid dissemination of diseases across entire states. Such data serves as the foundation for defining appropriate benchmarks, leading to efficient management of the situation.

 

For the monitoring expenditures in nine major Indian states, both the World Bank and the World Health Organization play a contributing role. The states benefiting from World Bank funding are West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Uttarakhand. The remaining states receive financial support for domestic reasons.
